'Tracks' Interactive Window Display

MediaZest installed an interactive display in the O2 Arena that allowed customers to select and listen to their favourite tracks.

 

 

By scrolling up and down and texting their favourite songs, customers could influence their position on the track list and even listen to that specific song through our “whispering windows” on the shop window.

Our approach

We used a touchfoil and a projector inside the store to project the content on the window. O2 branded foil surrounded this area to seamlessly integrate the touchscreen into the whole store layout. This “frame” also encouraged passers-by to actively use the tracks projection and text their favourite songs. As a reward the chosen song was played right away and could be enjoyed inside and outside of the shop through our “whispering windows” solution.

 

Results

The sound of the music being heard outside of the store through the whispering windows made people stop. Being able to actually choose their favourite songs increased customers’ interaction with the shop and the brand O2 as music interest and texting via a mobile phone were combined.

 
 

O2 successfully launched the new app, engaging customers by having them interact with and actually influence this track list and the songs played in a very innovative and unexpected way.
