Ted Baker – Case study
Digital signage network – Global roll out of Scala
Background
Ted Baker needed to simplify the management of content across their retail estate and looked to MediaZest to recommend a content management solution that would overcome the issues they had been experiencing to date.
We put together a detailed roll out plan to allow for the centralisation of content management from London HQ. As part of our works we undertook a global audit to ensure all relevant information was available for both Ted Baker and MediaZest to manage maintenance going forward. We sourced and distributed hardware across the globe, ensuring a seamless install.
As part of our ongoing works with Ted Baker we maintain all hardware across the estate, each country is able to speak to a Mediazest representative in the local language and time zones. Anywhere in the globe we can have an engineer on site within 24hrs.
Mediazest also works closely with IT and design teams for new stores implementing digital, we advise on everything from suitable hardware, software and install.
Challenge
To manage the distribution of customer facing content to ensure continuity across the Ted Baker retail and office network globally, from a single central location in London.
Ted Baker had never audited the estate, the challenge here was pulling together all the relevant information pre install. Due to cost restraints we worked closely with each region to gather the relevant information, this helped us to put together a roll out plan.
The biggest challenge we faced was delivering hardware to each region and ensuring hardware was correctly certified. We and our distribution partners managed this process from start to finish.
Our approach
Due to its scalability & reliability we recommended The Scala content management system. Following the trial London location we developed a cost effective phased roll out programme incorporating The UK, Europe, USA, China & The UAE.
